Listrank for Etsy: Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-10-14
Who we are
Listrank for Etsy ("Listrank") is a browser extension published by Exochard, the publisher named on its Microsoft Edge Add-ons and Firefox Add-ons listings. Exochard decides what data Listrank handles and is responsible for it. Contact: [email protected]
This policy covers the extension, the Listrank API it talks to and the website https://listrank.pages.dev, including its roadmap page. The Listrank API is the server at https://exotools-api.exochard.workers.dev (older versions call gigscope-api.exochard.workers.dev, which forwards to it), run by Exochard on Cloudflare Workers; Exochard's other extensions use the same server, and every request from Listrank names the product so its data is kept apart. It describes every kind of data Listrank collects, how it is used, where it is stored, how long it is kept and who it is shared with. Listrank collects no data that is not listed here.
What the extension does
Listrank helps Etsy sellers improve how their listings rank in Etsy search. It reads the Etsy pages you open and shows extra information on them: labels on search results, a panel on listing pages, and a rank checker for listings you choose to track. It also audits a listings CSV you choose, and, in versions that include "Fix my shop", applies title, tag and price fixes you approve to your own listings. It runs only on www.etsy.com.
Summary of the data Listrank handles
- Authentication information: your Pro license key, sent to the Listrank API to check it; and, only if you connect your shop with Fix my shop, the Etsy access token that the Listrank API forwards to Etsy with each request.
- Website content: the Etsy search and listing pages you open, read in your browser to show labels and the listing panel; Etsy search results when you check a rank; and, if you connect your shop, your own listings (titles, tags, prices, inventory) for Fix my shop. All of it is processed and kept in your browser; only Fix my shop requests pass through the Listrank API on their way to Etsy, without a copy being kept.
Listrank does not collect your browsing history, health, financial or payment information, location, or the content of pages other than the Etsy pages described here. It does not sell data, does not use it for advertising, and does not use it to decide creditworthiness or for any purpose unrelated to helping you with your Etsy listings.
How long data is kept
- Tracked listings, rank history, daily limit counters, scans, Etsy tokens, license key (your browser): until you remove them or uninstall.
- Restore points (your browser): 30 days.
- Edit snapshots (your browser): until you delete them under Edit snapshots in Fix my shop, uninstall the extension or clear its data. At most 1000 are kept. At that many, Fix my shop and Put back stop before they write and say so, until you delete some.
- Baselines and baseline reads (your browser): until you uninstall the extension or clear its data.
- The listings CSV last opened in the shop audit (your browser): until you press Clear, open a file over 3 million characters or uninstall.
- Install ids that use a license key (Listrank API, under a hash of the key): 400 days after the key was last checked.
- Etsy request counters, per Etsy user number and per network address, both hashed (Listrank API): until the next day.
- Pass order details (product code, price, currency, coupon used, order number) (Listrank API): 35 days.
- Daily count of sales (Listrank API): 400 days.
Data stored only in your browser
The extension asks for room beyond the usual storage limit, so every restore point of a large bulk edit is kept. All of it stays on your computer.
These stay in your browser's extension storage and are never sent to us:
- Listings you choose to track, the keywords you attach to them, keywords picked on a listing you have not tracked yet, the rank history for those keywords, and the listings you removed, for Undo.
- The listings you fixed with Fix my shop and the rank checks that follow them, and a note while a Fix my shop write is in progress.
- Your daily phrase lookup counter and the phrase numbers read in the last seven days.
- Panel position and pin, the day you last dismissed a Pro prompt, a flag for the What's new page, and the day your last rating prompt was shown.
- The fixes you applied with Fix my shop, so you can undo them, and the last scan of your shop.
- Restore points: before each Fix my shop run, the titles and tags of your own listings that the run is about to change, so the run can be put back. They stay in your browser, are used only to write them back to your listings after you confirm a preview, are never shown as current listing data, and are deleted 30 days after they were saved. The last 10 runs are kept.
- Edit snapshots: after each Fix my shop run, the title and tags of each listing as they were before the change and as written, with the date. You can export them to a JSON file on your device and import such a file back; the file is yours and is not sent anywhere.
- Rank baselines: the listings and keywords you picked, the position found for each, the latest position read for each listing and keyword pair, and a note that tells Fix my shop to resume a paused read.
- The number of your shop, once a fix on it was checked after writing.
- For the shop audit: the last listings CSV you opened, with its file name and date, so the audit is there on your next visit (Clear removes it), and the keywords you edit per listing.
- Phrase numbers: for each phrase you look up, the suggestion position and the page-one counts the page showed, kept for seven days so the same phrase is not read twice.
- Your Pro license key, the trial or pass end date and the random id made when the extension was installed, if you activate a trial or Pro.
- If you connect your shop: the Etsy access token and refresh token.
Uninstalling the extension deletes all of it. Disconnecting your shop deletes the Etsy tokens.
Data that leaves your browser, and why
License check (authentication information)
- What is sent: your license key, the product name, and a random id made when the extension was installed.
- When: when you activate Pro, and at most once a day after that. The 7-day trial starts and ends on your device and sends nothing.
- Why: to confirm the key is valid with Payhip, the seller of record for Pro passes, and to count each browser once, so entering the key again in the same browser never takes a second of its 3 seats.
- Where it is kept: the Listrank API keeps the list of install ids that use a key, filed under a one-way hash of the key; the key itself is not stored. The list expires 400 days after the key was last checked.
Rank checks (website content)
- What happens: to check where a tracked listing ranks, the extension requests Etsy search pages from a tab you already have open on
www.etsy.com, the same way you would by searching. - When: only when you press a check button. Listrank does not check ranks on a schedule or in the background.
- Where it goes: to Etsy only, with your normal Etsy session and nothing added by Listrank. The results stay in your browser.
Etsy shop connection, "Fix my shop" (authentication information, website content)
This applies to versions that include Fix my shop. The connection is optional; everything else works without it.
- You connect through Etsy's own sign-in page. Listrank asks Etsy for three permissions: read your shop, read your listings, and edit your listings. Etsy returns an access token and a refresh token, which are stored in your browser only.
- Etsy requires every app to send its own secret key with each request, and that key cannot be shipped inside an extension. So each request to Etsy passes through the Listrank API, which adds the key and forwards the request. Your access token travels with that request, only for the calls you start; the Listrank API does not store it or write it to any log.
- A scan reads your active listings (titles, tags, prices, inventory) and Etsy search results for each listing's keyword. The Listrank API forwards them without keeping a copy; they are kept in your browser.
- A phrase lookup reads Etsy's search suggestions and the first page of results for that phrase from a tab you have open, when you press Look up, no more than one request every two seconds. Nothing from that read is sent to us.
- Listrank changes a listing only after you tick the change and press Apply. Before writing, it reads the listing again and skips it if you edited it on Etsy since the scan.
- To stay within Etsy's request limits, the Listrank API keeps one request counter per Etsy user number and one per network address for the current day, and deletes them the next day.
Uninstall page
When you remove the extension, the browser opens https://listrank.pages.dev/bye. The page sends nothing. It offers a link to leave a review and an email address.
Website roadmap page
The roadmap page at https://listrank.pages.dev/roadmap shows planned and shipped changes. Loading it asks the API for the list of items and sends only the product name. The website sets no cookies. It counts page views with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and keeps nothing that identifies you.
When you buy a pass
You buy Pro on Payhip, which handles the payment, your name, your email address and the license key under its own privacy policy. Payhip then sends the Listrank API a notice about the order. The API keeps the product code of the pass, the price, the currency, whether a coupon was used and the order number for 35 days, plus a daily count of sales for 400 days. Your name, email address, network address and license key are not stored by Listrank.
Who we share data with
We share data only with the services that run Listrank, and only for the purposes above:
- Etsy, for rank checks, phrase lookups and, if you connect your shop, for Fix my shop: https://www.etsy.com/legal/privacy
- Payhip, to check license keys and sell passes: https://payhip.com/privacy
- Cloudflare, which hosts the Listrank API and the website: https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/
We do not sell or rent data, do not share it with advertisers or data brokers, and do not transfer it for any other purpose. We would disclose data only if the law requires it.
How data is protected
All traffic between the extension, the Listrank API and the services above uses HTTPS. The Listrank API keeps license keys and network addresses only as one-way hashes, and does not log Etsy tokens or message text.
Your choices and rights
- See or delete your local data: uninstall the extension, or clear its data in your browser's extension settings. Disconnect your shop in the extension to delete the Etsy tokens.
- Free a license seat or ask a question: write to us at [email protected]. We answer within 30 days.
- If you live in the EU or the UK, you also have the rights the GDPR gives you, including the right to complain to your data protection authority.
Children
Listrank is a tool for Etsy sellers and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, we update this page and the date at the top. A change that adds a new kind of data ships only with an extension update whose store listing describes it.
